The best beaches near Waikiki Waikiki is located in a beachfront of Honolulu, on the shore of Oahu island. Right now it encompasses a 1.5 square mile area. Most of us know Waikiki because of the TV series where the action takes place there, but it's actually mostly known because of white sand Waikiki Beach. However, what many people don't know is the fact that while Waikiki Beach definitely is great, if you rent a car and see the nearby locations, you can actually find even nicer beaches out there. Less crowded ones and even more beautiful ones. San Souci Beach This beach is located between the New Otani Hotel and the Waikiki Aquarium. Kahala Beach Kahala is the favorite spots for weddings and photographers for having photo shoots. During the weekdays it's seldom crowded. Located quite nearby from Waikiki Beach, roughly 5 minutes by car. Diamond Head Beach Diamond Head Beach is great for both surfing and sunbathing, and possibly the most positive thing about this beach is that there are only a few people on this beach. So if you wanted to find a quiet area, that's where you should go. The beach is located near Diamond Head If you want to go to Hawaii and Waikiki seems like a perfect place to go to, don't get dissapointed if you find the main beach way too crowded. Just remember that there are a lot of other options for you to choose from and the ones we mentioned aren't the only ones in the list. Just do some research beforehand and find the perfect room from one of the Waikiki hotels out there to stay while you're not sunbathing. |
