A unique deluxe resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is built around a private animal reserve. Three separate savannas encompass 33 acres and are home to over 200 mammals and birds (three dozen species). The savannas are lit up each night with a simulated hull moon. The Boardwalk is a destination all to itself, with restaurants, clubs, midway games and a great view. The pool is themed to a 1930s Atlantic seacoast resort, with a roller coaster-style water slide ending in a giant clown face. There is also a carousel pool bar and whimsical elephant fountains. A boat ferries guests to nearby Epcot and MGM theme parks; alternatively, you can take a short walk to the International Gateway and dine at any of Epcot's World Showcase restaurants.
