BoardWalk Inn
The Boardwalk is a destination all to itself, with restaurants, clubs, midway games and a great view. The pool is themed to a 1930s Atlantic seacoast resort, with a roller coaster-style water slide ending in a giant clown face. There is also a carousel pool bar and whimsical elephant fountains. A boat ferries guests to nearby Epcot and MGM theme parks; alternatively, you can take a short walk to the International Gateway and dine at any of Epcot's World Showcase restaurants. Animal Kingdom Lodge
A unique deluxe resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is built around a private animal reserve. Three separate savannas encompass 33 acres and are home to over 200 mammals and birds (three dozen species). The savannas are lit up each night with a simulated hull moon. Inside the lobby, look for artifacts collected from or inspired by African tribes. African cast members are happy to share about their home countries. Pray the Devil Back to Hell
Last week I headed to Tribeca to see Pray the Devil Back to Hell, a documentary that chronicles the truly remarkable story of the Liberian women (both Christian and Muslim) who came together to end a bloody, decades-old civil war.
