Travel articles Animal Kingdom Lodge A unique deluxe resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is built around a private animal reserve. Three separate savannas encompass 33 acres and are home to over 200 mammals and birds (three dozen species). The savannas are lit up each night with a simulated hull moon. Inside the lobby, look for artifacts collected from or inspired by African tribes. African cast members are happy to share about their home countries. Disney's Yacht Club Disney's Yacht and Beach Club are sister resorts located a short walk from Epcot's World Showcase. Many consider the pool area (Stormalong Bay), with its shipwreck theming, huge water slide and sandy bottom pool to be the best of any Disney resort. A boat services Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios theme parks (buses are available for transportation to the other parks).
