Travel articles Grand Xcaret Occidental The Grand Xcaret Occidental is a luxury all-inclusive beach resort on the Mexican Caribbean is adjacent to dramatic Xcaret Park. Take Me Home, Italian Roads I've just completed a jaunt along Mexico's Mayan Riviera (more on that soon), and although I still have another month or so on the road, word of new openings in my adopted country, Italy, has been tempting me home. If you are heading that way this year, here are some places that you, too, should keep on the radar.
Animal Kingdom Lodge A unique deluxe resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is built around a private animal reserve. Three separate savannas encompass 33 acres and are home to over 200 mammals and birds (three dozen species). The savannas are lit up each night with a simulated hull moon. Inside the lobby, look for artifacts collected from or inspired by African tribes. African cast members are happy to share about their home countries. Visit Milan: Spruced-up architecture and "fashion central" It's the epicenter of Italian fashion, and shopping around Quadrilatero d'Oro is just too tempting to pass up.
